It is our family name and we felt it had a quirky ring to it!
Who runs your business? Do you have time to do any other jobs or is this full time?
Arran and Helena Hart a husband and wife super team! We are both full time at Harty’s.
What do you make?
We make beautiful wooden things from repurposed and rescued solid wood. Our items can be personalised to suit every occasion. Bespoke items are our specialty.
Where do you get your inspiration?
We are inspired by how beautiful the wood is and it’s natural grain. Every piece we make is unique as every piece of wood is unique. The wood is the star!

Do you have any tips for anyone wanting to start their own creative small business?
You have to work hard and can’t be afraid of failure. You will have tough and challenging days, but these are where you learn the most.
