We’ve been running seasonal events on Castle Street in the centre of Edgeley for two years and we’re back in 2024. Our events here generally include fun activities for families, live music and much more. Come and join the fun when 40+ local, talented, friendly independent makers bring their handmade, quality, affordable crafts, gifts, homeware, jewellery as well as fresh homemade produce. Something for all the family.

WHAT’S HAPPENING ON 6 APRIL?

At this Artisan Market and Family Fun Day, you can do everything from learn to crochet, win prizes for your pooch and enjoy live music and get your face painted, enjoy a fresh brewed artisan coffee and browse the stalls of talented makers.

Fun for All

We’re running a FREE Learn to Crochet workshop suitable for ages 12+. Talented crocheter Mel Whitehead, regular Worker Bee Maker MADE BY MEL will be providing hands-on demos how to crochet. You’ll also take home a goodie bag worth £10 so you can practise your new skill at home. Limited availability. Email clare@workerbeemarkets.co.uk to book. 

Fun Dog Show run by Makants Greyhound Rescue Charity 11am-1.30pm

Bring your furry friends to the Castle Street Show Ground and enter them for any or all the following categories:

Prettiest Girl, Most Handsome Boy, Best Rescue, Dog judge would like to take home, Waggiest Tail, Cutest Puppy (under 12 months of age). 

Registration from 10.30am. Entry costs just £2 per dog per category and there’s a Best in Show Award too, judged at 1.30pm. 

We’ll have a DJ all day from local Semitone Studios

2024 Info for potential traders

Upto 40 stalls so lots of opportunities to trade. More opportunities for those with your own gazebo, but there may be space to share someone else’s cover. You will need your own table. Limited hot food and hot drinks. (Check about TENs if you’re planning on selling alcohol)

I’ll give priority to makers in Edgeley, Stockport, Cheadle Heath, Offerton and look favourably on new makers just starting out. Advice and help available if needed. Don’t forget I hand-pick stalls so there’s as little crossover as possible to give you all the chance to sell!
