Award Judges

The #WBAA judges have been chosen for their passion about our community, their interest in Worker Bee Markets and their differing skills and expertise.

Ric Pickford, Snapes Estate Agents, Bramhall, Cheadle Hulme, Woodford & Poynton

Company Owner of Snapes Estate Agents, Ric has lived in SK8 & SK7 all his life and has been an estate agent for 26 years, following a short spell playing football for Stockport County and Scunthorpe United. Snapes are sponsoring the inaugural Worker Bee Artisan Awards, the perfect match as they too are a family-run independent business working to make Stockport a great place to live.

Ric provided the introduction for Clare at Worker Bee Markets to Bramhall Village Square when he sold her partner’s house, so has already helped the business grow. Snapes financial support has made the Awards happen.

Mary Robinson, MP for Cheadle, Stockport

Mary Robinson has been the Member of Parliament for Cheadle since 2015. As well as being our MP, she has particular remit for protecting green spaces, championing community groups and creating opportunities for enterprise, all of which are close to Worker Bee Markets’ heart.

Mary has attended many Worker Bee Markets already and is a great supporter of what they do. Clare is honoured she’s agreed to support this venture.

Dylan Moore, Aqua Design Group

Winner of Theo Paphitis #SBS, Jacqueline Gold #MOM, The Digital Entrepreneur Awards 2017 #DEA2017, Inspire Women Awards 2019 #HeForShe, Dylan Moore is a huge supporter of Stockport and its business community. His expertise in branding, graphic design and social media mean his offer to support the Pollen Award for new business will be invaluable.

Dylan’s mother Veronica runs her own small creative business and he met Clare at one of her markets, when she was first developing the Awards scheme.

Keeley Watts, award winning food blogger

Stockport-based Keeley writes Phatcupcake.com a food and travel blog, reviewing restaurants, recipes and healthy eating around Manchester and the rest of the world.

Clare found Keeley’s blog online, realised they share a lot of values and invited her to join the judging panel, taking responsibility for the Nectar Award for tastiest food.

Natalie Kaciubskyj, Community Champion and small business owner

Natalie’s background in Human Resources and her success as an artist shine through her attitude to people. She wants to change the world through kindness, creativity and growth, making her the perfect judge to encourage and celebrate the best of small artisan businesses.

Natalie and Clare met through other markets and now work together where possible, particularly on charity and community-based events. Natalie produced an amazing piece of art at one of the events, with traders and customers.
